Betsy’s No Garlic Cream Cheese Crab Dip

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. cream cheese, whipped
  • 8 oz. crab meat (or chopped imitation crab)
  • 2 Tbs mayonnaise 
  • 1 Tbs balsamic vinegar 
  • 1 Tbs capers 
  • 2 tsp dry sherry
  • ¼ tsp Pufina fish sauce 
  • ¼ tsp salt 
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste
  • Minced onion to taste (about 1 Tbs) 
  • Onion powder to taste (about 1½ tsp)
  • Paprika (a few shakes)

Directions:

With the Kitchenaid mixer, mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar, sherry, fish sauce, and spices. Fold in the crab meat. Top with chives, a pinch of paprika, or a wedge of lemon.
